Daily Phantom Tollbooth Quote
"So many things are possible just as long as you don't know they're impossible" A classic quote, but still great. And I guess that's just how I'm feeling today!
"So many things are possible just as long as you don't know they're impossible" A classic quote, but still great. And I guess that's just how I'm feeling today!
We're going to start posting a daily favorite quote. And we'd like to invite you to do the same! Share your favorite quote with us on facebook, twitter, or right here on our blog.
Here's our Wednesday quote from The Whether Man:
“Whether or not you find your own way, you're bound to find some way. If you happen to find my way, please return it, as it was lost years ago. I imagine by now it's quite rusty.”
We've had amazing support! We have 59 backers and are at $4,329. Thank you everyone. Let's keep sharing the link, letting people know about the 50th Anniversary, and getting the word about the documentary out there!
Want to highlight our friends at My Paper Crane who are making two of our coolest most unique rewards - a handmade-to-order TOCK plush doll and a one of a kind plush doll of your favorite character. Really thrilled to partner with them - support the film and get a great pressie for your child (or the child in you!).
Great news!Neil Gaiman has not only shared the documentary on his twitter, but he's also backin our project on kickstarter (thank you!!) Check it out here
I just had to share this lovely comment that one of our kickstarter backers posted. So wonderful to see how this book matters to people! "Here is my story about The Phantom Tollbooth.
When I went off to college in 1997 I took my beat up copy of the book as a kind of literary security blanket. There was a boy in the room next door who also had a copy on his bookshelf. We started dating pretty much right away. We got married a few years after graduation. And earlier this year we welcomed our first child. His middle name is Milo."
I cannot thank our supporters enough! Although we will do it personally soon - as soon as I'm over the shock of gratitude. In just 1 day there are 31 backers (as of now!) and just over $2000 in pledges. Let's continue this amazing progress and make sure we get this film funded and bring Norton Juster and Jules Feiffer to the screen. There's no doubt that they deserve it, and anyway, they're hilarious!
