The Phantom Tollbooth: Beyond Expectations is a documentary about the classic children's book and the longstanding friendship between author Norton Juster and Pulitzer Prize winning illustrator Jules Feiffer. The film features interviews with David Hyde Pierce, Eric Carle, Adam Gopnik, and Jason Epstein, among others. The soundtrack features music by Devendra Banhart and The Penguin Cafe Orchestra. The film premiered at The New Yorker Festival and went on to screen at museums and universities across the country including the Smithsonian.
